Vintage Surveyor's Tripod 5' for Level/Transit
Description
Vintage tripod would make a terrific architectural design prop. Well constructed and in good condition, albiet showing patina from use.
Details
- Legs 5 feet long; 3 feet when collapsed
- Includes plumb bob and fixing wing nut in attached case
- Almost complete--one of the bolts fixing the legs to the head unit is missing (see photo 9). The leg dowels nest tightly into their sockets and brass screws locate them. So this unit could be used as is as a stationary prop. For anything but light use in the field one might want to replace that bolt.
